Frequently Asked Questions
- What is Smugmug?
Smugmug is a hosting/printing service that I use to display my photos. The actual
printing is handled by EZ Prints which is a professional lab in Georgia. They use some really
fancy equipment to produce exceptionally high quality prints. If you're curious about
specific hardware
or have other questions about quality, you can read up on it here.
- How do I purchase prints?
Just click one of the "buy" icons above the photo to add it to your cart. There are many
different sizes available, but I stick to the most common sizes to keep things a
little more simple. More detailed help with the shopping cart is available from Smugmug here.
- What formats are available?
Smugmug offers prints in just about every size you can think of, but I have left many of the
irregular sizes out to make the shopping cart easier to use. If you'd like a print size that
doesn't seem available, just email me at photos@dsporter.com and I'll see what I can do.
- What are true and auto color?
The same picture can look very different on a computer monitor and when printed. Selecting
true color when ordering tells the printer to print an exact copy regardless of the printed
results. I recommend selecting auto color which allows EZ Prints to optimize the photo for
better prints.
- How much are shipping charges?
Shipping charges are determined by the number and sizes of the prints you order. Current
prices are available here.
- What if something is wrong?
If you have difficulty with anything at all please contact me at photos@dsporter.com. In the unlikely event that you're
unhappy with your prints, Smugmug will either replace them or refund your purchase. More
information on their guarantee is available here.
- How can I contact you?
